India fined for slow over-rate in tour finale

 

India have been docked 40% of their match-charge for keeping a delayed over-rate in the visit finishing third ODI against South Africa in Cape Town. Match Referee Andy Pycroft forced the authorization in view of the charges evened out by on-field umpires Marais Erasmus and Bongani Jele, third umpire Allauhudien Palekar and fourth umpire Adrien Holdstock.

India were viewed as two overs shy of the objective after time recompenses were thought about. According to Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which connects with least over-rate offenses, players are fined 20% of their match expense for each over their side neglects to bowl in the dispensed time.

KL Rahul, India's commander, confessed to the offense and consequently there was no requirement for a consultation.

This was the second time on their visit through South Africa that India were in break of the exaggerate rules.
