India vs South Africa 2nd Test, Day 4 Live Score Updates: Elgar leads SA to victory, series level at 1-1

 South Africa crushed India by seven wickets in the second Test to even out the three-match series 1-1 on Thursday. After two meetings were lost to relentless downpour, South Africa, pursuing 240, came out requiring 122 runs for a critical success with eight wickets close by. Captain Dean Elgar drove from the front with an unbeaten 96 off 188 balls to take his group home in 67.4 overs. The other significant commitments came from Aiden Markram (31), Rassie van der Dussen (40), Keegan Peterson (28) and Temba Bavuma (23 not out off 45).


India's bowlers couldn't extricate enough from the surface with Mohammad Shami getting the main wicket to fall on the day. The third and last Test starts in Cape Town from January 11.
