Mohammad Abbas set for Hampshire return in 2022

 


Mohammad Abbas will get back to Hampshire for the beginning phases of the County Championship season, continuing his new-ball association with Kyle Abbott.

Abbas played 10 games for Hampshire in 2021, taking 41 wickets at 15.87 including three five-wicket pulls, for the most part opening the bowler close by Abbott.

He has re-endorsed for "basically the initial two months of the period", as per a Hampshire articulation, and will be their second abroad player after Abbott during that period.

"I'm really glad to join Hampshire once more," Abbas said. "I truly partook in the climate and playing with this crew at a phenomenal ground like the Ageas Bowl. I know there's a major craving at the club for flatware in the County Championship and ideally I can have my impact and contribute with the ball."

Giles White, Hampshire's head of cricket, said: "Mo showed everyone last year that he is a bowler of the greatest quality. He's an incredibly famous individual from the crew, so we are excited he's consented to return and he joins Kyle Abbott as our second abroad marking."

Hampshire are relied upon to challenge for the title in 2022 in the wake of completing fourth in Division One a year ago. They marked Nick Gubbins from Middlesex halfway through last season and have additionally added Ben Brown, the Sussex manager hitter, lately.
