South Africa defeated Uganda by 121 runs in the ongoing Under 19 World Cup at the Queen's Park Oval, Port Of Spain in Trinidad. Both the team lost their first game and sit at the bottom half of the table. South Africa had bowled well against India in the tournament opener but their batters failed to chase the low total. On the other hand, Uganda lost to Ireland by 39 runs in their tournament opener but they showed some quality cricket in that game.
