Kieron Pollard wants West Indies to bat entire 50 overs during the India series

It was just under seven days prior that West Indies were associated with consecutive T20Is against England in Barbados with the series carefully ready. A couple of hours subsequent to wrapping up a resolve helping series win, the Kieron Pollard-drove side left for India. Following a three-day quarantine in Ahmedabad, and negative Covid tests, they were permitted to prepare in gatherings of four on Friday.

On Saturday, they held their solitary instructional course in front of the series. Furthermore on Sunday, they will be tossed into the cauldron against a hurt Indian group hoping to continue on rapidly from their 3-0 whitewash in South Africa. West Indies themselves are looking for replies, having lost the ODIs 2-1 at home to Ireland in January.

"For our purposes, we need to break on," Pollard said. "Today (Saturday) is the main full practice we had, and afterward we must have our gatherings and conversations, and stuff like that. Once more, we know these are a portion of the things individuals would rather not hear and comprehend in light of the fact that we want to perform on the cricket field, yet these are a portion of the difficulties we need to look as global cricketers. The most we can do in a short space of time is to attempt to be in the perfect mental space, have conversations about it, kind of envision and plan with regards to how we need to go with regards to it.

"According to an actual perspective, we can make it happen. We need to move past stream slack. A few of us are as yet living in the Caribbean time [zone]. It's night here in India yet the folks have eyes totally open, yet we need to start off promptly in the first part of the day to play a day-night game. Along these lines, the difficulties are there, however that is the reason it's worldwide cricket, and we attempt and beat it, and not blame that.

"Doing is important to attempt to take the field and perform at that ideal level. Ideally, we can defeat these things and can improve us cricketers as well as people by the day's end when we stick out and pay special attention to each other."

The restricted acclimatization time has given West Indies brief period to attempt to address the batting issue Pollard felt they had after the Ireland series. Yet, the discussion has rotated around three things: figure out how to adjust, take learnings from their series misfortune, and attempt to bat out 50 overs. En route, they need to draw motivation from the battle they displayed in their past ODI series in India. They had taken a 1-0 lead prior to losing the following two games to yield the series. This time they need to better that.
