Sophie Devine powered the start, Lea Tahuhu provided a much-needed boost and Katey Martin got a couple of fours in the final over to take New Zealand to 155

New Zealand will feel they got enough. After a tight 4-over spell in the powerplay, Devine took on the debutant, Simran Bahadur, and crushed her for all corners to press 20 off the fifth over and gain some energy while at it. However the two openers left in the range of 4 overs, the Canterbury legend-Tahuhu - proceeded with her homegrown T20 structure and played a truly necessary 14-ball 27 appearance to direct her side near a cutthroat aggregate. Green, as well, did her piece yet the power punch came from Katey Martin who tracked down 2 limits in the last three balls to agree with her position past 150. The pockets are profound and it won't be a clear pursue for India. Back in 15 for the answer...

Maddy Green: Great to play some cricket at home. Good to contribute. It's extraordinary to have her (Tahuhu) up the request. We will take 155 however we need to bowl well to protect.
